UAE Resident Visas expired in March and April must proceed with the renewal process immediately
The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) has decided to renew the residency visas and Emirates ID cards. This will be conducted in phases according to the month of renewal. This will help implement social distancing at ICA centers as a precautionary measure in this pandemic.
From Sunday, July 12, the authority will take the applications for renewing documents that expired in March and April.
The resident visas that already expired in May will be processed from August 8.
The residency documents that expired in May will be processed from August 8, while those that expired in June and on July 1-11 will be processed from September 10.
Those whose residency visas and Emirates IDs have expired after July 11 are not restricted as to when they can visit the centres to submit their renewal applications.
On Friday, the UAE Cabinet had announced a decision to cancel all recently issued resolutions about the automatic extension of validity of residency and visit visas.
There will be a three-month grace period for the UAE residents to complete their renewal procedures.
